On Tuesday we went to the Botanic Gardens. Then we talked about nature's recycling and how it is not harmful to our enviroment.Marion took us to the bush and showed us how nature recycle its rotten leaves. When leaves drop to the ground worms and Insects eat them up and the trees take the nutrients and nutrition and creates new plants and all of it becomes a cycle. When worms eat the leaves they make fresh soil. When a green leaf falls off it is strting to die when it turns yellow rotting some more and when it turns brown it is brown and also dead. When it turns into soil Marion calls them Decomposers. We would need to use a magnifiying glass or a microscope to see the bacteria.but is a very good way to help the world from harmful pollution.
Next we went the other education room and learned how to make worm farms. We had a big bucket and the first instrution was that we had to poke holes in the bottom to let the worms wee get and they into worm fertilizer to help lots of gardens grow. The next instrution was to put the pumis stones in the bottom. After that we put a guave layer on and then we put he worms in the soil then we put he food scraps on the worms and then we put a layer of carpet on and we the lid on.Worms are something called Photophobic which means there scared of light.
